My debut solo show at London
West Bank Gallery has now been announced and you can read
more about it here
and check out the Facebook event page here!
And
Hello to Artfinder 28 / 02 / 13
I promise there'll be more substantial
news about my London solo show soon but in the meantime, my little
characters continue to find themselves on new websites and the
most recent is the classy Artfinder
site. It's a great site unto itself and there's a lot of great
artists on there, simply too many to list, so take a gander yourself
if you're curious!
DeLaMain
Hello 08 / 02 / 13
I'm happy and proud to announce
that I am now associated and a part of the classy DeLaMain
collective, who represent a number of fantastic artists. Besides
myself, I recommend you check out Craww,
David Walker
, Joseph Loughborough
, Mr Jago , Pam
Glew and, last but not least, longtime sprayer in arms
Snik. Not a
bad list, that!
Verbs
and a Solo Show 01 / 02 / 13
It's a fresh new year and things
are in the pipeline! The biggest news is that I have a London
solo show confirmed for the 6th of June. The show is titled 'Do
Look Down' and will be held at the London
West Bank Gallery in Notting Hill. More details will be
released in good time and if you want to be the first to know
about new news, sign up to the carrier pigeon list on the Contact
page and / or find me on Facebook.
The other new thing is a spoken word
video I put together today, titled 'Our Verbs', which you can
find on the Films here on the site.

Cracking
Tile 12 / 12 / 12
After a few interested and enthusiastic
emails, I have released 'Stop,
Sledgehammer Time!' as a small edition of ten. Mounted
on some tasty perspex, each of these tiles has a unique crack.
This release has been made via the fantastic guys at StreetArt.nl
and, if you're so inclined to pick one up, will be despatched
by them too.
Remembrance 10 / 11 / 12
With my first real piece on the
streets in a while, I wanted to dedicate it to those who have
given their lives protecting what they love. This little scene
was inspired by a friend's poem, 'Rest In Peace?' by Ben Reiss,
which you can read below...
Requiescat in pace they say,
Requiescat in pace.
Easy to say when it’s in bed that you lay
and you’ve actually got skin on your face.
If you’re slumped by a gun
(Which is broken and stuck)
And glowing all white in the sun,
Then it’s hard to see much peace in the muck,
When it’s your skull that leers at the
Hun.
The
City's Lighthouse 24 / 10 / 12
I don't know how I've not painted
it before now but 'Trafficking
Lights' is the first time I've ever cut and painted a
traffic light. There's definitely a lot of fun to be had with
it in the future...
A
Gaze 17 / 10 / 12
This week's painting is
'Without
Masters', paying homage to Jack Vettriano's work, who
I am very much a fan of. And who knew Vettriano was from Scotland,
eh? No offense to the Scottish amongst you but his paintings,
at least to me, are too positive to have come from north of the
border, haha.
A
Devilishly Wide Print 06 / 10 / 12
The latest addition to the store
is the 'And
I'm Not Going To Take This Anymore' screen print edition,
my second ever only screen print. I won't repeat myself, so if
you're interested in the print, head to the Store and read all
about it, as well as see a slew of photos of the chaotic mob!
I Predict A Riot 18 / 09 / 12
It is with great pleasure I introduce
to you 'And
I'm Not Going To Take This Anymore ', a sprawling scene
of chaos and indulgence. I also created a video during the process
of cutting and painting the piece, which I think many of you will
find interesting.
A much more affordable screen print
of the piece will be able in a couple weeks and to be the first
to hear about it's release, sign up to the carrier pigeon list
on the Contact page.
Some
Glowing Metal 15 / 08 / 12
As you might see to your left right
now, I've been having some fun with glow-in-the-dark materials.
The 'On
Fire Exit' Sign has been painted on a solid piece of aluminium
and will glow surprisingly well at night or in a dark environment.
There's more exciting work in progress
and to keep abreast of new releases, put yourself down for a carrier
pigeon on the Contact page.

Fort in the Night 01 / 08 / 12
Two weeks have now passed since I
turned full-time artist and things are going great. I have been
kept very busy, both with new releases in the Store,
as well as with commissions. I hope to be hitting the street a
little more once I've settled into this all and really have some
fun. A massive thank you to everyone that has been supporting
me, it genuinely means so much to me.
Lick of Fresh Paint 19 / 07 / 12
Welcome to the new Pahnl site! It's
so fresh, the spray paint dust is still drifting through the air
and settling on the ground. The entire website has been given
an overhaul to make things easier and clearer to use. In particular,
the Store has been given a facelift.
Speaking of which, you'll find a range
of new paintings available for purchase in the Store. The new
20cm square canvases are all available for £35 each, or,
if you add three or more of these canvases to your cart,
the price of each painting is brought down to £25 under
the Collector's Cut offer.
Anyway, I hope to be bringing plenty
of tasty on and off street work to you on a much more regular
basis now, as I've made the jump into working as a full-time artist.
If you want to keep abreast of new releases in the Store, please
sign up to the Carrier Pigeon List
for updates. Those who had signed up before the site's overhaul
will still be on the list, so not to worry.
Time to go chasing!
A Toy 18 / 05 / 12
Looking
at the post dates on this page really reveal how bad I'm at keeping
it updated, haha. It's often better to find me on Facebook if
you wish to keep abreast of news.
But
I digress! I recently produced and released my very own urban
vinyl toy (although, technically, it's resin) and you can find
out more by heading here.
It took a ridiculous amount of planning, work and mistakes, so
I hope you enjoy seeing the toy's process in the film I dilligently
shot from above throughout the whole ordeal.
Those New Nights 06 / 07 / 11
A
new set of prints, titled 'The Night Series' (a working title
for the folder the artwork occupied that later became their formal
title), are now available for preorder on the Store
page, which will be despatched on the 15th of August. This series
plays with light and perspective more than my work is typically
accustomed to and I intend this to be a sign of things to come...
