I’m really not sure how many of you will have experienced this glitch from Windows XP first-hand but I always found it sublime on the rare occasion it happened. For some inexplicable reason, a window would sometimes leave behind a trail of itself as you dragged it around the screen. I also did my best to source a coloured paper that most resembled the default Windows 95 desktop but, alas, it’s hard to find anywhere that actually offers ‘drab teal’.
And if you haven’t yet, I heartily recommend watching the process video (found below) of all seven colours being laid down for this edition, which I took particular pleasure in subsequently corrupting and encoding to a filthy degree that harkens back to the days of 56k dial-up.
Finally! There’s a tiny edition of prints, called ‘Print Error’, that have been intentionally pulled with terrible registration between the layers. It’s probably my familiarity with the main edition but I think I might like these chaotic ones more?
TITLE: Error
DIMENSIONS: 50 x 50cm
MEDIUM: Screen print
MATERIAL: Colorplan 270gsm
EDITION SIZE: Main edition of 40, ‘Print Error’ edition of 4 (each unique)
MISCELLANEOUS: Signed, numbered and embossed
