The initial idea was to cut a single wood shape and stencil each colour on but as soon as I realized each band could be it's own shape, well, the first idea felt lame. I like the idea that you can break the rainbow up and display each part however you want. They don't have to be neatly nestled within one another and can be perpendicular to each other, upside down or even fallen over.
Each rainbow (or is that rameblow?) comes with it's own figure dilligently spraying away and is all shipped within a cozy foam-lined box. Due to it's modular nature, the rainbow can't be hung on a wall and is more at home on a shelf, a desk or, if you're particularly fancy, a mantelpiece.
Aaaand all of the 333 wooden frames used to make the animation can be found here if you’re interested in giving one a home.
